Ancient Written Language in China
Come hear Jon Hartenberger speak on the written language in ancient China. Were the Chinese monotheists, and what did they understand about creation? The answers might surprise you, and they will glorify the living God. For example, Oracle Bone Characters show that the inventor of the original Chinese characters, inscribed on tortoise shells and bones, knew and believed in an identical account of creation and the earth's beginnings as found in the Hebrew sacred Scared Scriptures. For Example:

Compare this with the book of Genesis The tree of life [was] also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil Gen 2:9b; And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired [covatable] ...,she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat... Of great importance is the fact that the present ratio of water/land areas on the earth is not a random or fortuitous combination. Prior to the Great Deluge other conditions existed. If the quantity of water on the earth were 10% greater, then the sea level would be nearly 1,000 feet higher. This is enough to flood most of the earth's continental areas. On the other hand, if the amount of water were less, the land areas would be much greater and the climate would be much worse. A large part of the land area would be arid. Thus the ratio of water/land is exactly right. At an altitude of some 11 or 12 km. (35,000 feet) the temperature of the air is a constant -50° C (-58° F). This temperature, as low as it is, is essential for life to flourish on the earth. Water vapor freezes at these heights because of the very low temperature, and the resulting ice crystals continue to grow until they become so heavy that they fall toward the surface of the earth. In this way water is prevented from escaping into space, so that the earth will always be wet.

Another fascinating aspect of water is that it reaches its greatest density at a temperature of 4° C (39.2° F). At this temperature it reaches its greatest density (1.0 g/ cm3). It becomes less dense at higher as well as at lower temperatures. At 0° C the density of ice is 0.917 g/ cm3. This is why ice floats on water. This is the only substance that has this unusual property. Extrapolating this concept further one can see why fish and other aquatic organisms can survive even the most severe winters in lakes, rivers, and dams. When a body of water freezes, the ice being lighter floats on the surface of the water, while the heavier water below never becomes colder than 4° C. If the ice were heavier, water in lakes etc. would freeze from the bottom up and fish would be squeezed to the surface where they would die from asphyxiation. Another astonishing characteristic of water is that it has nature's highest specific heat. The specific heat of a substance is the number of calories required to raise the temperature of one gram of the substance through one degree centigrade.

Specific Heat Table for Some Substances

What this table shows is that water is able to store a greater amount of heat than other substances. This is of utmost importance for life on earth. This means the oceans are enormous heat sinks for the energy radiated from the sun. Practically, there are no great temperature variations at different times of the day. The oceans also become a significant buffer for temperature fluctuations in the air. In addition, the oceans do not freeze in the winter. This is of fundamental importance for the survival of all forms of marine life, as well as for the widely temperate climate formation that we have here on earth. A major transportation of heat takes place in ocean currents due to its high specific heat. With this tremendous amount of heat, the Gulf Stream keeps much of the North Atlantic free of ice in the winter. If the specific heat of water were much lower, the earth would have a very different and a much less favorable climate. For example it would be much colder in Europe. The regional climate would be much different and would change more quickly. Water's high specific heat is also of importance for living things; an influx in the amount of heat has little impact on the temperature.

Each Man Needs to Ask Himself
Just who was Jesus? He made statements like:
John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." John 8:12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life." John 6:35 And Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst." John 6:51 "I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world." John 15:1 "I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser." John 15:5 "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing." John 10:9 "I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture." John 10:14 "I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own. And even: in John 8:58 Jesus said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM."

With statements like that, He HAD to be either a liar who was trying to dupe the people, or insane and thought He was those things, ... or ... truly the Son of God and stating facts. That He was just a good teacher, but only a man, is NOT an option. Not with statements like that.
